Launceston has an eclectic range of businesses and business opportunities. From small shops to large international companies, the town is well placed for the setup of new and emerging enterprises. The local view is that many of these opportunities are, as yet, untapped!
Located just off the A30, the main route between Truro and the M4, and less than 30 miles from Plymouth, Launceston is well-placed for road haulage. This is slowly being recognised and larger national chains have begun to open premises in the town.
Launceston’s business districts fall into 3 main area. Being medieval, the town centre predominantly provides retail and service opportunities.
Off the road to Bude and Holsworthy is the small Newport Industrial Estate. The main industrial/business centre is the Pennygillam Industrial Estate . This houses a mixture of small, medium and large business enterprises.
